Several groups have used Helen Jean Smith's work for fund raising purposes. The Waterford Foundation, Wytheville Historical Society, Chowan Arts Council (Edenton, N.C.), Conemaugh Valley Hospital Auxilliary (Johnstown, PA) and Loudon Symphony Guild (Leesburg, VA) are representative of groups which purchase the original paintings and printing rights. They are then free to market the prints and earn money for their causes.
